Email Username
This calculated column uses a SharePoint formula to pull the username (the text before the @) out of an email address. Because it lives in a calculated column, SharePoint fills the value in for every item automatically - no custom development and nothing for your users to type.
How It Works
- What it does: Pulls the username (everything before the @) out of an email address.
- What you get: The name text – jane@acme.com shows jane.
- If a value is missing: If Email is blank or has no @, the column shows a blank or an error instead of a username.
