The SharePoint Footer appears at the bottom of a modern site and provides space for branding, helpful links, and key information.
Common Use Cases
- Enhances usability with quick access to key links and resources
- Improves consistency by reinforcing branding across pages
- Supports navigation without cluttering the Site header

Key Details
- Footers are only available on Communication Sites – not supported on Team Sites
- Footers are configured per site; they do not carry over to other sites or from a hub site to its associated sites
- Supports using a custom image instead of a solid color block
- Extended Footer allows up to 8 top-level navigation links
